FirePro Tech – Terms and Conditions
1. Scope of Work
FirePro Tech (“Company”) agrees to provide fire sprinkler system installation, repair, testing, and inspection services as described in the approved proposal or contract. Any work outside the defined scope will be considered additional and subject to a separate quotation.
2. Exclusions
The following items are not included in FirePro Tech’s scope of work unless expressly stated in writing:
- Fire alarm connections, if required.
- Any underground piping and backflow preventer assemblies installation.
- Drywall work, painting, patching, ceiling, or insulation.
- Digging, compacting, coring, or excavation.
- Fire stopping of any wall.
- Additional fire sprinkler heads due to changes in the reflected ceiling plans.
- Use of CPVC piping is permitted for residential systems (insulation by others).
- Any concrete penetration (to be performed by the general contractor).
- Water meter installation, if required.
- Booster fire pump installation, if required.
- Service main acquisition, if required (to be obtained by the client).
- PRV (Pressure Reducing Valve) installation if system pressure exceeds 125 psi.
- City fees for plan review and approval.
- Work by other construction trades not covered under a C-16 contractor’s license.
3. Repair Work Exclusions
For repair services, FirePro Tech is not responsible for the following unless otherwise agreed:
- Plans and permits (if required).
- Cutting, patching, painting, or masking.
- Pre-existing valve conditions — all valves must be operational and functioning properly.
- Existing wiring issues.
- Responsibility for any water damage caused during the repair of fire protection equipment.
- Additional equipment or materials required by the local Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ), unless specified in the proposal.
- Fire Watch services.
FirePro Tech will not be held responsible for any damage or repairs required to the existing fire sprinkler system during or after the performance of the specified scope of work.
If hydrostatic testing of the existing system is required, any leaks or water damage occurring during such testing shall not be FirePro Tech’s responsibility. Additional repairs or modifications identified during testing will be quoted separately.
4. Client Responsibilities
The client shall:
- Provide access to the worksite during agreed working hours.
- Ensure all necessary permits and approvals are obtained, unless otherwise agreed.
- Coordinate with other trades for work outside FirePro Tech’s scope.
- Maintain insurance coverage for property and liability during the project.
5. Warranties and Limitations
- FirePro Tech warrants that all work will be performed in accordance with industry standards and applicable codes.
- No warranty is provided for pre-existing systems, components, or materials not installed by FirePro Tech.
- Warranties do not cover damages arising from misuse, neglect, alterations by others, or acts beyond FirePro Tech’s control.
6. Entire Agreement
These Terms and Conditions, together with any signed proposal or contract, represent the entire agreement between the parties and supersede all prior discussions, representations, or agreements.
